About The Position

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences at various events, including weddings, corporate gatherings, and other special occasions. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing high-quality guest services while ensuring that all food and beverage offerings are presented beautifully and served efficiently.

Requirements

  • Commitment to excellent guest service.
  • Position requires multi-tasking abilities.
  • Bending, stooping, and kneeling.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling practices within the food industry.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork mentality.
  • Ability to handle, carry, or lift items up to 25 pounds.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred.
  • Excellent guest service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons.
  • Basic culinary skills for food preparation tasks are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with coffee service and beverage presentation is a plus.
  • Previous experience in banquet serving or related roles is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Set up banquet function tables and break tables down, with required items according to property standards.
  • Prepare, organize, and pre-sets all non-entree items to be used during the banquet including coffee, bread, butter, condiments, etc.
  • Assist in the preparation of food items as needed, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
  • Serve food and beverages to banquet and/or meeting break guests in a friendly and professional manner while ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Garnish and decorates dishes prior to serving.
  • Observes guests to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
  • Clear, resets tables, and properly stores banquet items at conclusion of each course/banquet.
  • Supply and replenishes meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.
  • Provide assistance and direction to guests when necessary.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
