About The Position

As the host hotel for the IRONMAN World Championship, the King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort Courtyard by Marriott currently has openings for talented Temporary, Full time Banquet Porters to share the aloha spirit and strive to create a memorable guest experience from October 1 - October 15. During the IRONMAN World Championship period of October 1 - October 15: Responsible for setting up tables, serving food and beverage orders, and maintaining cleanliness and condition of the work areas and equipment.

Requirements

Must be able to communicate in English with guests, management and team members to their understanding.
Ability to provide legible written communications.
Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments.
Dependable.
High school or equivalent education.

Nice To Haves

One (1) year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to guests.
Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
Set up and move tables, chairs, and other equipment for the staging of banquets and/or meetings.
Set tables with clean linens, and other supplies.
Maintain an adequate supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays.
Report any missing/found articles, or damage to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel.
Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of the position at any time.
