About The Position

The Banquet Manager will be part of the opening team for the newly reimagined Royal Palm South Beach Miami, set to re-open in 2026 after a significant renovation. This iconic beachfront hotel will feature 404 guestrooms and 20,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor event space, located at the intersection of Collins Avenue and Ocean Drive. The role involves assisting with the hiring and training of all banquet staff, including scheduling and conducting monthly meetings, and demonstrating proper service techniques and etiquette. The manager will oversee the setup of functions, ensuring proper placement of linens, silver, china, and glassware according to event specifications. Key responsibilities also include visually inspecting function rooms and equipment for cleanliness, proper inventory, and setup. The Banquet Manager will maintain calm and positive communication with various departments such as kitchen, service, beverage, convention services, and engineering staff, as well as the guest host, to ensure timely event execution, quality service, and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations and corporate standards. Requirements

  • Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable
  • Previous supervisory/management experience and skills
  • Requires high school reasoning & language level
  • Requires computer skills
  • Read, write and speak English fluently
  • Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees
  • No employee will pose a direct threat to the health/safety of self or others

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years banquet management experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assists with hiring and training all banquet staff including scheduling and monthly meetings
