About The Position
If you love preparing wonderful meals for groups or gatherings, Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, NC is the place for you! We have an opening for Full-Time Banquet Cook available for immediate hire. Applicants should have flexible schedules as this position will have alternating shifts during the week. Come be a part of an award-winning Culinary staff!
Requirements
- A minimum of 1-year experience in a banquet kitchen
- ServSafe certification is a plus
- Good knife skills
- Ability to handle food preparation for large groups
- Able to lift 20-30 pounds safely
- Awareness of safety in and around the kitchen
- Available to work a varied schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings
- MUST be able to pass a background check, drug test, and be eligible to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Prepare attractive platter presentations and action stations for weddings and large events
- Garnish and arrange serving displays for salads, vegetables, cheese, and fruit trays
- Read prep sheets and gather the required ingredients and supplies
- Maintain all sanitation standards and proper food handling techniques
