About The Position

The Osthoff Resort & Spa is seeking a Banquet Cook to join our banquet culinary team. As a Banquet Cook, you will assist with all aspects of banquet food preparation and execution, ensuring high standards and delivering memorable dining experiences. Our Banquet Department hosts a wide range of events including weddings, corporate conferences, and seasonal buffets. Full-time or part-time positions available.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Flexible schedule including some evening, weekend, and holiday availability
  • Passion for hospitality and a commitment to excellence

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in a high-volume banquet or resort setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented to the standards set for The Osthoff Resort & Spa
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that all banquet event orders are completed in a timely manner
  • Maintain knowledge of standard menus, special menus, and 86 items
  • Practice clear and effective communication with all kitchen and banquet team members
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of dietary needs and its importance to safe food handling
  • Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation for all banquet functions
  • Ensure all food safety and sanitation protocols are strictly followed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
  • Maintain a harmonious work environment
  • All other duties as assigned
