About The Position

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Competently operate all stations in the buffet as assigned (both front and back of house). Take responsibility for all food produced by the Banquet kitchen. Train all new cooks at any and all stations as needed. Prepare food for banquet menus. Handle banquet food plating and presentation. Take direction from the Banquet Chef. Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen. Assume a leadership role in the kitchen. Provide a consistently high level of service. Identify issues and suggest potential solutions. Promote an atmosphere of teamwork. Ensure that all Banquet staff members remain busy and motivated. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. QualificationsEXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Experience in a full-service restaurant required. Experience with buffet food and banquets preferred, but not required. Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, and encourage others to do the same. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Mobility throughout the facility. Able to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis. Able to stand for long periods of time. Able to tolerate heat. Good coordination and manual dexterity.
