About The Position

The Banquet Houseperson reports to the Banquet and Catering Supervisor and will be responsible for the set-up, maintenance, and take-down of banquet areas according to banquet specifications. This role involves working in a casino environment with potential exposure to secondhand smoke, excessive noise, and stress. The position requires the ability to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays, and to lift/push/pull up to 75lbs. Exemplary customer service, attention to detail, and effective communication in English are essential.

Requirements

Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise, and stress related to servicing customers in a high pressure and fast paced environment.
Able to lift/push/pull up to 75lbs.
Must demonstrate exemplary customer service, attention to detail, and ability to perform job duties in a repetitious and fast paced environment.
Able to effectively communicate in English.

Responsibilities

Provides the transportation and set-up of tables, chairs, and staging.
Stocks necessary supplies and performs basic banquet area cleaning duties.
Ensures each room set-up is accurate and meets the clients’ specifications.
According to function specifications, sets up, maintains, and takes down banquet rooms after service/event has concluded.
Listens attentively, following direction from management.
Reads and interprets Banquet Event Orders to ensure proper room set up.
Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the banquet rooms and equipment, and other cleaning duties as assigned.
Often asked to transport food, assist the dishwasher and plate for banquet events.
Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
