About The Position

The Asbury Hotel is seeking a Banquet Houseperson to work in one of Asbury Park's most spirited dining environments. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of hotel banquet and meeting rooms according to sales contracts and company standards, ensuring a positive guest experience. The position requires genuine hospitality, quick instincts, and the ability to make every guest feel welcome.

Requirements

• Prior housekeeping experience desirable.
• Minimal literacy necessary; can utilize alternate training tools.
• Ability to communicate with guests, other associates and supervisor.
• Ability to assess and meet standards.
• Ability to meet standards of appearance.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set, maintain, and refresh hotel banquet meeting rooms according to sales contract and company standards.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization is done in a timely manner.
• Assist supervisor during large functions.
• Ensure all banquet and meeting rooms are properly set in a timely manner for the banquet service staff.
• Responsible for timely and safe breakdown of meeting rooms after event completion.
• Refresh rooms on time, have water in rooms, clean rooms and set for appropriate functions.
• All other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
