About The Position
The Banquet Houseman plays a vital role in ensuring the successful setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet events, meetings, and special functions. This position is responsible for arranging banquet rooms according to event specifications, transporting and setting up tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, and other equipment, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of event spaces before, during, and after functions. This is a seasonal position with an expected duration of six months or less.
Requirements
- One month of related experience or training.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
Responsibilities
- Receive and properly sort and store event products daily.
- Performs light and heavy furniture moving, including but not limited to tables, chairs, buffet furniture, chaffers, glassware, plateware, and flatware. Also, responsible for light cleaning as window washing, furniture polishing, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, floor cleaning and polishing, emptying of trash cans and bus tubs.
- Identifies when supplies are needed and reports to the supervisor.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Assist management and other associates with the setup and breakdown of events.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage areas.
- Other assigned tasks as directed by the supervisor.
- Inquiries about additional duties as the workload diminishes.
- Performs other duties as required.
