About The Position

The Park Club is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Banquet Houseman to help create exceptional events for its members and guests. This position plays an important role behind the scenes of every successful event, from intimate private dinners to large club functions. The Banquet Houseman is responsible for making sure event spaces are properly set, organized, maintained, and ready for service. This includes ensuring tables, chairs, linens, dance floors, risers, equipment, and room layouts are completed accurately and presented to the standards expected of a private club. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their work, notices the details others may overlook, and understands that a room should be completely ready before the first guest arrives.

  • Ability to read and follow event orders, diagrams, and instructions.
  • Effective communication with managers and team members.

  • Understands the importance of cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and follows club grooming and uniform standards.
  • Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Regularly bending, reaching, kneeling, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving banquet equipment.
  • Ability to safely move tables, chairs, dance-floor sections, risers, linens, glassware, silverware, and other event equipment.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying heavy items independently when appropriate and working as part of a team for larger equipment.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the club's event schedule.

  • Work closely with banquet, service, culinary, and event teams to keep operations moving smoothly during events.
  • Assist with food running, bussing, room changes, replenishment, or responding to last-minute event needs.
