About The Position
Wichita Country Club is one of the oldest and most esteemed country clubs in the region, dedicated to offering an exceptional lifestyle experience for our community. We pride ourselves on maintaining top-tier facilities, products, services, and programming for our members. We are seeking a reliable and physically strong Houseman to join our team. In this role, you will be essential in the setup and teardown of event spaces, ensuring that all logistical and physical aspects of events are handled efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to manage heavy lifting and physical tasks. With the busy banquet and holiday season approaching, we are seeking candidates with flexible availability.
Requirements
- Strong ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stand on feet or walk up to 8 hours
- Reliable and punctual
- Team oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills
- Must be okay with repetitive tasks
- Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Responsibilities
- Execute setups and tear-downs for club events in alignment with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
- Arrange furniture, décor, staging, AV equipment, and linens as specified by event plans
- Ensure all event spaces meet club standards for cleanliness, organization, and safety
- Support transitions between multiple events in the same day with efficiency and precision
- Respond promptly to on-site needs during events
