About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Banquet Houseman to join our hospitality team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of banquet events by providing crucial support to the banquet staff and maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of banquet areas. The Banquet Houseman will assist in setting up and breaking down banquet rooms, supporting the service team during events, and ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly arranged and replenished. This position requires an individual who is physically fit, detail-oriented, and motivated to contribute to a welcoming and professional atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will have excellent teamwork skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and a positive attitude. Requirements

  • Previous experience in banquet, hospitality, or event support preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items, including tables and chairs, frequently throughout shifts.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and order.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks for extended periods of time.
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to assist wherever needed to support event success.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of banquet rooms, including arranging tables, chairs, and equipment according to event specifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events.
  • Support serving staff by replenishing supplies and assisting with food and beverage service as needed.
  • Ensure all banquet equipment and supplies are properly stored and accounted for after events.
  • Respond promptly to requests from banquet and catering staff during events to support smooth operations.
  • Monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues in banquet areas to management.
  • Assist in the transportation of items such as linens, dishware, and decorations to and from event locations.
