About The Position

The Banquet House Attendant is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. Our Banquets department is involved from planning, set-up and execution to the breakdown of the room so events happen again the next day – or even the next hour. From arranging the setup of tables and chairs to providing meeting materials and flipcharts to cleaning and vacuuming, the Banquet House Attendant is a part of every detail. We are looking for individuals who possess a high level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic. This role has direct involvement with guests and good communication skills are required. By nature of this position, the Banquet House Attendant requires a high level of physical mobility. The ability to continuously stand for up to 8 hours per shift and lift up to 80lbs is required. A positive attitude and a can-do approach to any task are essential! This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • Candidate must be fluent in English, both verbal and written.
  • Candidates should have at least 1 year previous experience in a similar position in a luxury environment.
  • Must be experienced in the areas of communication and computer skills.
  • Service Passion Requires attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Successful candidates must possess legal work authorization in the United States
  • The ability to continuously stand for up to 8 hours per shift and lift up to 80lbs is required.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up, breakdown, and clean tables, chairs, buffets, skirting, and props as specified by the banquet event order.
  • Stock linen, china, silver and glassware and supplies for service ensuring that in good condition.
  • Maintain cleanliness and condition of all banquet function space according to maintenance programs and plans.
  • Retrieve meeting materials, props, crates, and boxes from the hotel’s receiving area and store them safely and securely.
