About The Position

Licking/Knox Goodwill Industries, Inc. is seeking a Banquet Event Manager for their Newark, Ohio location. This position requires availability for 1st and 2nd shifts and offers a salary of $45,000 per year plus monetary incentives for meeting sales goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in event planning, strong organizational and computer skills, the ability to communicate effectively via cell phone, thrive in a fast-paced environment, deliver outstanding customer service, enjoy training staff, and be able to remain calm under pressure. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Valid Ohio driver’s license and ability to meet driving standards.
Pass pre-employment background check and drug test including THC.
Knowledge of bartending and liquor laws.
SERV Safe Manager Certification. (May be obtained after employment.)

Responsibilities

Work closely with clients to understand their event requirements and preferences.
Create detailed event proposals.
Supervise and participate in the setup, service, and breakdown of events, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Manage lead and motivate staff.
Resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during events or reservations.
Provide customer service to campground guests.
Ensure events and park follow all health and safety regulations.
Manage campground staff and park operations.
