About The Position

As our Banquet Cook, you will play an integral role in delivering an exceptional guest experience while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment. This role is ideal for someone who brings a passion for hospitality, takes ownership, and is committed to continuous improvement and results. You will support day-to-day operations, support team performance, and ensure service standards are consistently delivered. You’ll act as a bridge between leadership and frontline teams—driving accountability, engagement, and results.

  • Experience preparing food for banquets, events, or high-volume operations.
  • Knowledge of cooking methods, recipes, portion control, and food presentation.
  • Ability to prepare multiple menu items efficiently and consistently.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
  • Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
  • Ability to follow recipes, production sheets, and banquet event orders (BEOs).
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, BEOs, and banquet menus.
  • Set up and maintain assigned kitchen stations.
  • Ensure proper portion sizes, presentation, and food quality.
  • Prepare food in a timely manner to meet banquet service schedules.
  • Monitor food temperatures and follow food safety procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
  • Assist with buffet, plated, and special-event meal preparation.
  • Properly store, label, and rotate food products.
  • Communicate with the Chef and kitchen team regarding food preparation needs.
  • Assist with inventory, receiving, and minimizing food waste.
  • Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and kitchen policies.
  • Support other kitchen operations as needed.
