About The Position

Roost, located in the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh Downtown is looking for a Banquet Cook to join their team. Full-time and Part-Time positions are available. As a Banquet Cook you will prepare high-quality dishes for our guests. The Banquet Cook will collaborate with the culinary team to ensure that food preparation is efficient, timely, and meets quality standards. Your responsibilities will include preparing ingredients, cooking food items, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and assisting with plating and presentation during service. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a cook or in a similar role
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume workload
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing and chopping vegetables and meat
• Cook and present dishes according to menu specifications, including following recipes and presentation standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes and utensils and maintaining inventory levels
• Communicate effectively with other team members, including the kitchen staff and management
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
