About The Position

Catering by Design, your premier Concord-based catering company serving all of New Hampshire, is searching for a Banquet cook to join our dedicated team. We specialize in crafting unforgettable culinary experiences with a focus on fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Part of Duprey Hospitality, a locally owned company with growing food and beverage opportunities in Concord, NH. Catering by Design specializes in catering every occasion, from intimate gatherings to grand celebrations. Operating out of the DoubleTree by Hilton, we offer on-site and off-site catering events in our newly renovated kitchen, sharing space with Haley & Bear we have opportunities to work on events and for the restaurant.

  • Prior kitchen, cooking, or hospitality experience preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry items as needed
  • Ability to work in a hot, busy kitchen
  • Non-slip shoes recommended
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Requires walking, sitting, and standing to a significant degree, reaching, handling, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing, and smelling
  • Lifting up to 100 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying or transporting of food, objects, or equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Kitchen experience is preferred, but a strong attitude and work ethic matter too.

Responsibilities

  • Cook menu items for the banquets, and catering events
  • Work stations like grill, sauté, oven, and pantry
  • Prep hot and cold food
  • Follow recipes, portions, and plating standards
  • Label, date, rotate, and store food safely
  • Keep your station clean and ready
  • Follow food safety rules
  • Support the team during busy service
