About The Position
The Stamford Doubletree is seeking a part-time Banquet Captain to lead the setup and breakdown of banquet events, coordinate service flow, and guide the banquet team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. This role also involves assisting with audio-visual setup and troubleshooting, as well as supporting scheduling, training, and inventory management.
Requirements
- Customer service experience.
- At least 6 months of banquet food service experience.
- Leadership potential or experience.
- Food and alcohol certifications (or willingness to complete in 90 days).
- Physical stamina—this role includes lifting, bending, walking, and standing during your entire shift.
Responsibilities
- Lead the setup and breakdown of banquet events with precision.
- Coordinate the flow of service, ensuring meals are served smoothly and on time.
- Guide and motivate the banquet team to deliver top-notch guest experiences.
- Handle audio-visual setup and troubleshooting.
- Assist with scheduling, training, and inventory to keep the operation running smoothly.
