About The Position
The Denver Athletic Club is seeking an on-call Banquet Captain to join their team. This role is responsible for the preparation and execution of events, including assigning banquet staff, monitoring set-up times against the BEO (Banquet Event Order), coordinating event timelines with the Banquet Manager and vendors, conducting pre-shift meetings, ensuring bar and vendor timelines are met, and coordinating clean-up efforts. The Banquet Captain must be adaptable and willing to step into any banquet role as needed.
Requirements
- Banquet experience in a supervisory role
- Ability to learn or prior knowledge of A/V
- Experience with supervising multiple events simultaneously
- Ability to multitask
- Excellent customer service
- Positive, team player attitude
- Open availability, 7 days per week
- Availability to work weekends and some holidays
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test

Responsibilities
- Preparation of events
- Assigning banquet staff to work areas
- Reevaluating staff distribution to ensure function set-up times are on track and ready as identified in the BEO
- Coordinating event conclusion timeline with Banquet Manager and outside vendors
- Conducting pre-shift meetings
- Executing events according to BEOs
- Ensuring bar and vendor timelines are followed
- Coordinating clean-up efforts
- Stepping into any banquet roles if needed
