About The Position

This role involves completing opening and closing duties for banquet bar services, including setting up supplies and tools, cleaning equipment and areas, and securing the premises. The position requires stocking ice, glassware, and paper supplies, as well as removing soiled wares from bar tops and tables. Maintaining the cleanliness and condition of work areas, the bar, and related equipment according to established guidelines is essential. The role also mandates adherence to all company and safety/security policies, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, and completing safety training. A professional appearance, maintaining confidentiality, and protecting company assets are also key. The position requires interacting positively with guests, anticipating their needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation. Clear and professional communication, developing positive working relationships, and supporting team goals are necessary. The job involves reading and visually verifying information, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and performing physical tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 pounds. Fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to navigate uneven surfaces and stairs are required. Reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping are also part of the job duties, along with performing other reasonable tasks as requested by supervisors.

Responsibilities

  • Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc.
  • Check with captain or supervisor before leaving at end of shift.
  • Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.
  • Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies.
  • Remove soiled wares from bar top and tables.
  • Maintain cleanliness and condition of work areas, bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools, following all set-up guidelines.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  • Complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
  • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
  • Assist individuals with disabilities.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
