About The Position

As a Banquet Attendant at Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa, you will be responsible for reading an “Event Order” and setting up rooms with tables, chairs, flipcharts, podiums, etc., according to the specifications listed on the event order. You will take direction from the Banquet Attendant Supervisor, Banquet Supervisor, Banquet Captain, and/or Banquet Manager. If you have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to delivering exceptional service, this could be the perfect role for you! This role involves checking in and out with the Banquet Manager, Captain, and/or Supervisor, and having the ability to set a room to the specifications of each “Event Order.” You will assist Managers and staff in accomplishing guest satisfaction and maintain clean and organized banquet areas at all times. You will also be able to change or adjust room set ups to better service guests or wait staff, and work quickly yet safely when a room set-up must be changed. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to Fairmont standards, with an awareness of activities in all function spaces.

Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry and transport relatively heavy equipment.
• Has a friendly, positive attitude.
• Good communicational skills.
• Pro-active.
• Must be able to provide proof that they are legally able to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Read an “Event Order” and set a room with tables, chairs, flipcharts, podiums, etc., to the specifications listed on the event order.
• Take direction from Banquet Attendant Supervisor, Banquet Supervisor, Banquet Captain, and/or Banquet Manager.
• Check in and out with Banquet Manager, Captain and/or Supervisor.
• Set a room to the specifications of each “Event Order.”
• Assist Managers and staff in accomplishing guest satisfaction.
• Keep banquet areas clean and organized at all times.
• Change or adjust room set ups to better service guest or wait staff.
• Work quickly, yet safely, when a room set-up must be changed.
• Follow Fairmont standards and have an awareness of what is happening in all function space.
