About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Bankruptcy Manager to join Consumer Banking and Lending Operations. In this role, you will supervise and provide guidance to Bankruptcy managers and teams in procedural tasks and processes, manage daily administrative, operations and service level agreements, and ensure all local, state and regulatory compliance requirements are met. You will identify opportunities for process enhancements and risk control in bankruptcy claims, oversee complex issues to maximize efficiency and enhance customer service, and consult with Management or team to optimize bankruptcy and collection efforts. You will also partner with Bankruptcy Managers to identify issues and improve bankruptcy and collections efforts, collaborate and consult with peers, management, and Bankruptcy team, and interact directly with bankruptcy agencies, courts, internal and external customers. Additionally, you will manage the allocation of people and financial resources for Bankruptcy and mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Loss Prevention, Bankruptcy or Customer Service experience in the financial industry, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of leadership experience

Nice To Haves

  • Proven leadership experience managing bankruptcy/Default operations teams within consumer lending, preferably Auto Finance.
  • Strong knowledge of Chapters 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy processes, regulations, and servicing requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead operational transformations, process improvements, and technology implementations.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, performance oversight, and risk and control frameworks.
  • Outstanding analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence partners across Operations, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Technology.
