About The Position
Messerli Kramer, a Top 20 Minnesota law firm founded in 1965, is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney with a blended background in bankruptcy and commercial litigation to join its Litigation department. Requirements
- Exceptional background in bankruptcy and creditor rights and commercial/business litigation.
- Strong legal research, writing, and critical thinking ability.
- Excellent verbal and written advocacy at motion hearings and trial.
- Capacity to organize, prioritize and multi-task.
- Minimum of five (5) years bankruptcy and commercial litigation experience.
- Ability to focus on business development success.
- High academic achievement.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Highly professional with a strong customer service orientation, commitment to meeting deadlines, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong professional, independent thinking skills with strength in problem solving and the ability to offer constructive opinions and creative solutions.
- A team player who motivates and educates other team members.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the position.

- Experience with complex business litigation with an emphasis in bankruptcy matters.
Responsibilities
- Representing financial institutions regarding bankruptcy and creditor rights disputes, recovering funds and assets.
- Conducting discovery, including written and deposition discovery.
- Mediating and negotiating case settlements.
- Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs and other legal documents.
