About The Position

This role is responsible for completing regular cash forecasting analyses to ensure non-branch ATMs have sufficient cash and are properly loaded. It involves placing Federal Reserve cash orders to ensure vendor vaults are adequately funded while preventing excessive cash. The position also maintains the currency and accuracy of the settlement variance analysis system by clearing and matching items, recording losses, and preparing supporting documentation. Additionally, it involves developing, producing, and reviewing routine reports and spreadsheets, supplying data to management, and conducting basic ad-hoc analyses to support business decisions. The role requires adherence to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls, and promoting an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand. Maintaining M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit points and addressing issues raised by regulators, is also a key part of the responsibilities. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree and a minimum of 1 years’ general work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 3 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 1 years’ general work experience
  • Strong working knowledge of pertinent spreadsheet software
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Basic business writing and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Complete regular cash forecasting analyses to ensure non branch ATMs (Automated Teller Machines) have sufficient supplies of cash and are properly loaded.
  • Place Federal Reserve cash orders to ensure vendor vaults are adequately funded by denomination while ensuring excessive cash does not exist at locations.
  • Maintain currency and accuracy of the settlement variance analysis system by clearing and matching items, recording losses and escheatable items and preparing supporting related documentation.
  • Develop, produce and review routine, non-complex standard and ad-hoc departmental reports and spreadsheets including, but not limited to, project or product strategies, historical reporting, workflow analysis, statistics, claims, deposit volumes, loss/gain reporting and variances.
  • Supply data to management as requested.
  • Research and gather business, process, and/or financial information.
  • Complete basic ad-hoc analyses of information gathered to support business decisions.
  • May provide feedback to management regarding results.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.
  • Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.
