Position Summary : The Bank Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for overseeing the Bank’s technology strategies and ensuring that all technological systems align with the Bank's business objectives. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, ensuring cybersecurity measures, and optimizing operational efficiency through the effective use of information technology.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of banking operations, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale IT initiatives and managing complex technology projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to Salt Lake City, UT.
  • An applicant must be authorized to work in the United States to be eligible for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Bank's IT strategy in alignment with its overall business goals.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Bank's technology infrastructure, including networks, systems, and applications.
  • Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect the Bank's systems and data from internal and external threats. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure the integrity, security, and privacy of the Bank's data assets.
  • Identify opportunities for leveraging emerging technologies to drive innovation and enhance customer experience.
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, ensuring that they deliver high-quality products and services in line with the Bank's requirements.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that the Bank's IT systems and processes comply with regulatory requirements, including those related to data protection, cybersecurity, and information security.
  • Communicate regularly with senior management, Board members, and other stakeholders to provide updates on IT initiatives, risks, and performance.
