About The Position

The Banking Center Specialist performs a variety of functions supporting branch operations and assists clients with new accounts, consumer and small-business lending applications, branch services, and account transactions. The role requires accurate application of banking regulations, strong client-service skills, and proficiency with basic banking and office technology.

Requirements

One year within the last five years of branch teller and/or new accounts experience.
Knowledge of and ability to accurately apply applicable federal and state banking regulations.
Knowledge of consumer banking products and services.
Aptitude and enthusiasm for client service and sales.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to identify denominations and count currency.
Professional demeanor and speaking skills.
Good judgment, decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Professional, service-oriented demeanor and communication skills.
Computer proficiency, including internet browsers and Microsoft Office Suite products.

Nice To Haves

Two years of recent experience opening business checking and trust accounts.
Effective public speaking and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with account transactions and inquiries, wire transfer requests, and related currency services, including domestic and foreign currency exchange or sales orders.
Monitor, maintain custody of, and balance drawer cash and coin.
Complete required reports documenting cash or negotiable instruments in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Update and close consumer checking and savings accounts and safe deposit boxes.
Assist clients with completing fraudulent activity dispute forms.
Review ATM deposits to identify potential risks and initiate a hold or other appropriate action.
