About The Position

This position is responsible for generating, maintaining, and servicing profitable business and retail customer relationships while maintaining a productive banking center staff and assuring proper daily branch operations are being performed. The role involves proactively managing and growing the banking center using entrepreneurial business management skills to ensure financial objectives are met. It also requires promoting a network with internal support areas and developing partnerships with other lines of business such as mortgage and commercial. The manager is responsible for coordinating and developing procedures to maximize cross-selling opportunities, maximizing banking center profitability by monitoring income and expenses, and managing staff including recruitment, coaching, development, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, and approvals for vacations and timesheets. Ensuring regulatory compliance standards are met, planning and directing banking center activities such as quality control, exceptions, security equipment testing, and audits, and ensuring adherence to Home Bank’s policies and procedures are also key responsibilities. The role involves handling customer service requests like new account opening, safe deposit transactions, wire transfers, maintaining account records, debit card issuance, accepting loan applications, and assisting customers with inquiries and problems. Resolving customer issues in a timely manner, coordinating sales strategies with the Retail Group Lead, communicating important information to staff, understanding the banking center’s overall performance, diagnosing and developing action plans for branch inefficiencies, and maintaining a professional atmosphere are also part of the job. The manager is accountable for maximizing customer satisfaction and ensuring quality service standards are consistently delivered. Adherence to meeting routines set by the Retail Group Lead, working expected banking center hours including Saturdays, and performing other duties as assigned are also required. Additionally, the role focuses on staff development by establishing an environment where employees work as a team, coaching staff on sales and service techniques, ensuring policy and procedure adherence, developing employees through personal development plans, and ensuring timely completion of compliance courses and performance evaluations. Including the leadership team in managing responsibilities, if applicable, is also a part of the role.

Requirements

  • Five years of banking experience, with an extensive background in financial institution operating policies and procedures, banking regulations
  • A minimum of two years of lending authority
  • Receive and maintain NMLS certification
  • Good credit is a must
  • Credit report is required for employment

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred

  • Ensuring all customer issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Coordinate sales strategies with the Retail Group Lead
  • Communicate important and appropriate information to staff members on a timely basis
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the banking center’s overall performance
  • Diagnose and develop an action plan to solve for branch inefficiencies
  • Provide and maintain a professional, business-like atmosphere within the banking center
  • Maximizing customer satisfaction and ensuring quality service standards are consistently delivered by staff
  • Adhere to all meeting routines set forth by and Retail Group Lead
  • Work expected Banking Center hours of operation, including Saturday banking
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned by leadership
  • Establish an environment in which all branch employees work as a team to meet or exceed branch goals
  • Coach staff members on effective sales and service techniques by coaching to behaviors that identify financial needs and promote the continued development of employees
  • Ensure all branch employees follow policy and procedures and operate within the guidelines of Home Bank
  • Develop employees by providing personal development plans and action plans, as necessary
  • Ensure all branch employees complete annually required compliance courses in a timely manner
  • Complete and deliver performance evaluations as required by Home Bank
  • Include leadership team in managing responsibilities if applicable
