About The Position

The purpose of the role is to participate in the day-to-day activities of the investment banking division, gaining broad exposure to different types of clients, transactions, and specialist areas. The program offers an 8-10 week journey during the summer of your penultimate year of university to build skills, expand knowledge, and embark on an impactful path towards a promising career. Interns will work with various Investment Banking teams, advising a broad range of corporate clients and delivering holistic, structured solutions for mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, structured solutions, or risk management. As a Summer Associate, you will learn the art and science behind executing a transaction, working on live deals and deal proposals within industry, product, or geographic groups. Projects may include financial analysis and modeling, valuation, industry research, client due diligence, and developing written materials.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Collaboration on live deals, client pitches, and supporting the team in advising corporate clients.
  • Delivering holistic, structured solutions to meet client goals.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
  • Participation in training and development programs.
  • Identification of opportunities, development of business cases, and management of new product/service deployment for investment banking.
  • Management of client relationships and customer service support.
  • Processing of transactions and responding to client inquiries.
  • Development and implementation of financial models and strategies.
  • Understanding business operations and learning from industry experts.
  • Training and mentoring of junior colleagues.
  • Consulting on complex issues and advising People Leaders on escalated issues.
  • Identifying ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures.
  • Taking ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls.
  • Performing work that requires understanding of inter-departmental coordination.
  • Collaborating with other areas for business-aligned support.
