About The Position

This position is responsible for interacting with customers in a courteous, professional, and friendly manner. The role involves coordinating with the Loan Servicing Center for UCC inquiries, filing, and satisfying UCC and mortgages. It also includes managing workflow items, preparing loan amortizations and correspondence, processing payments and advance requests, and initiating wire transfers. The Banking Assistant will organize and maintain loan files, assist in gathering financial documentation, input financial data into credit analysis software, and help prepare credit presentation packages. Additionally, the role involves processing annual loan reviews and may provide back-up support for Teller/Customer Service Representative responsibilities, including basic teller duties and dual control responsibilities. Secondary responsibilities include providing support for other areas like reception and teller duties, opening and processing various deposit accounts, managing debit card requests, assisting customers with internet banking and other retail technological products, and supporting Personal Bankers and Universal Bankers with scanning/indexing. The position requires adherence to compliance procedures, participation in training, and representing the Bank at community events.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers in a courteous, professional, and friendly manner.
  • Coordinate with Loan Servicing Center to conduct UCC inquiries along with filing and satisfying UCC and mortgages.
  • Coordinate with the loan officer and Loan Servicing Center to manage Work Flow items including, but not limited to, UCC inquiries, scanning signed loan documents, indexing financial spreads, etc.
  • Prepare loan amortizations, correspondence letters, and loan file comments as directed by lending officer.
  • Accept, process, and check-back loan payments and loan advance requests.
  • Initiate wire transfers as needed.
  • Organize and maintain files following a loan documentation checklist to ensure all required documents and signatures are on file.
  • Assist in gathering financial statements, tax returns, income statements, credit reports and other documentation.
  • Input balance sheets and tax returns on the credit analysis software.
  • Assist in preparing credit presentation packages for loan committee.
  • Process annual loan reviews, including sending renewal packets to customers.
  • Provide backup support for other areas as needed – receptionist, teller, etc.
  • Opens and closes all types of deposit accounts including checking, savings, certificates of deposits, IRA’s.
  • Process debit card requests – activate, close, delete, hot card, research customer issues and review reports.
  • Connect customers to Internet Banking and other Retail Technological Products and assist with related banking issues.
  • Assist Personal Bankers and Universal Bankers in scanning/indexing duties as needs arise.
  • Adhere to compliance procedures and participate in required training.
  • Represents Bank at various civic and community events.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.
