About The Position

Heritage Bank is seeking a temporary bank teller for their Allenmore Branch in Tacoma, WA, for a summer assignment from June 2026 to September 2026. The role involves helping customers achieve their financial goals by providing exceptional customer service and handling routine financial transactions. The typical full-time schedule is approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Flexibility is required to ensure adequate staffing for training or employee absences. This position is fully on-site.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability to provide an exceptional level of customer service.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Basic math skills with an understanding of debit and credit relationships and negotiable instruments.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to operate standard office equipment.
Proficient computer skills and ability to adapt to and learn new technologies quickly (i.e., financial services applications, DNA/Fiserv, cash recycler).

Responsibilities

Performs routine paying/receiving duties accurately and in accordance with assigned Authority Limits.
Provides operational and office support to the assigned branch, completing all assignments in a timely manner.
Maintains confidentiality when handling customer requests and transactions.
Complies with all policies, procedures, security, and regulatory requirements.
