About The Position

Join our team as a Teller and become the face of our bank, providing outstanding customer service while handling a variety of financial transactions. You’ll be responsible for balancing cash drawers, processing deposits and withdrawals, and maintaining accurate transaction records. We are currently seeking qualified applicants to work as a Teller at our Slide Branch in Lubbock, Texas. (M-F 1:00 PM- 6:00 PM and 2-3 Saturdays a month 7:45 AM - 12:00 PM).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
  • Proficiency with computers and related software applications.
  • Strong Customer service skills required.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers and team members through various channels.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and composure in resolving conflicts.
  • Consistently maintain accuracy and keen attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Qualified applicants will be required to have a drug screen in addition to background, credit, and reference checks.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service through courteous interactions and timely responses to customer inquiries, both in person and via telephone.
  • Accurately balance currency, coin, and checks in the cash drawer at the end of each shift, and reconcile daily transactions using computers, calculators, or other appropriate devices.
  • Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts, and ensure the accuracy of deposit slips.
  • Record customer transactions in the bank’s systems and issue computer-generated receipts.
  • Count and prepare currency, coins, and checks for deposit or shipment, utilizing manual or automated counting methods as required.
  • Organize and arrange cash and coins in designated dispensers according to denomination.
  • Resolve account discrepancies and address customer concerns with professionalism and discretion.
  • Promote and cross-sell the bank’s products and services to meet customer needs.
  • Operate company vehicle to deliver and retrieve documents and packages to and from local branches and other designated locations.
  • Respond to customer account inquiries, following all bank protocols for customer verification and information security.
  • Assist customers with issuing new debit cards and maintaining existing cards.
  • Participate in branch opening and closing procedures assigned.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to all security protocols as outlined in the Bank’s Information Security Program.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management or supervisors.
