About The Position

At Regions, the Bank Operations Funds Transfer Specialist performs processing for all regular, restricted, and legal transfers including Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (S.W.I.F.T.) payments and transfers. This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Two (2) years of related banking or operations experience
Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
General knowledge of banking procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
Strong work ethic and self-motivation

Responsibilities

Enters transfer instructions and performs necessary verifications
Handles instruction receipts and authentication
Completes processing of end-of-day general ledger entries
Executes transactions and maintains records
Provides advice and guidance to less experienced associates as needed
Ensures compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for and supports process improvements; applies disciplined change management practices
May perform quality reviews to ensure production systems are posting properly
