About The Position

The Bank Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting the efficiency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of the Bank’s operational functions. This role leads and supports operational projects, develops and maintains procedures, analyzes workflows, and assists with daily Bank Operations activities. The position works closely with Bank Operations leadership, branch teams, and internal departments to implement process improvements, support regulatory and system changes, strengthen controls, and promote consistent execution across the organization. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in translating regulatory and operational requirements into clear, actionable procedures while effectively managing cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of banking experience, with a strong background in operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience with project management, process improvement, or procedure development preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into clear procedures and training materials.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Visio or similar tools preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.

  • Experience with project management, process improvement, or procedure development preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Bank Operations in daily functions, issue resolution, research, and workflow coordination.
  • Respond to internal inquiries related to operational processes, procedures, systems, and controls.
  • Assist with monitoring operational performance and identifying compliance risks, control gaps or operational weaknesses.
  • Support audit and examination requests by providing documentation and process explanations.
  • Lead and participate in operational projects, including system enhancements, process changes, and regulatory updates.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to plan, test, and implement new processes and workflows.
  • In conjunction with the Bank Operations Director, work to develop project timelines, track progress, and ensure successful rollout across all affected departments and branches.
  • Act as a liaison between Bank Operations, branches, and other business units to ensure alignment and clear communication.
  • Develop, document, and maintain operational procedures and job aids.
  • Ensure procedures are clear, standardized, and consistently applied across the organization.
  • Analyze current workflows to identify inefficiencies, risks, and control gaps.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience.
  • Support automation initiatives and system optimization efforts where applicable.
  • Assist with implementation of new or revised regulatory requirements (e.g., ACH rules, consumer protection regulations).
  • Partner with management to develop and deliver training related to new or updated processes.
  • Support branches and operations staff during implementation of changes to ensure adoption and consistency.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for operational procedures and workflows.
