This is a supervisory position that is responsible for supervising and reviewing the activities of the Training and Administrative Division of the Arkansas State Bank Department. This position requires on-site employment with no remote or hybrid options available. The Arkansas State Bank Department is a division of the Arkansas Department of Commerce. This Bank Examiner Supervisor/Expert position is responsible for supervising and reviewing the activities of the Training and Administrative Division of the Arkansas State Bank Department. This Division organizes and maintains the structured training schedule for the Bank Examination Division, which is responsible for performing on-site examinations of Arkansas state-chartered banks, including evaluating the adequacy of capital and earnings; the quality of assets; the competency of management (including compliance with federal and state laws and Bank Department rules and regulations, and the adequacy of the audit program and internal controls); the adequacy of liquidity and funds management; the sensitivity to market risk of the institution's balance sheet and activities; the Information Systems (IS) related operations and management functions within financial institutions regulated by the Department; and Trust Department and Trust Company activities. The Bank Department's main office is located in Little Rock, AR. Additionally, the Bank Department operates satellite offices in both Springdale, AR, and Jonesboro, AR. This position will be assigned to the Bank Department office located in Little Rock, Arkansas. This position requires a minimum of five years of experience as a Bank Examiner with a State or Federal Entity, such as the FDIC, the Federal Reserve, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, or a State Bank Department.
