About The Position

Lantech operators are responsible for performing all tasks involved in packaging product according to plan. This includes: performing basic, routine equipment maintenance and cleaning on everything in the area of responsibility; keep machines stocked with raw materials and work with all personnel regarding raw material quality; perform visual inspections of all finished products being moved and/or loaded onto outbound trucks; identify unacceptable product conditions and initiate corrective action; work closely with all team members, supervisors and leadership to identify, report and correct quality issues, productivity improvements, or cost reduction initiatives; and assist maintenance personnel in the troubleshooting, repair, or preventive maintenance of equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED certificate
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
  • Ability to operate all tooling and machinery required to perform required job duties
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and quality of finished material
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems during day-to-day production.
  • Understand escalation process and react accordingly and in a timely fashion
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to dependably work a rotating shift schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous forklift experience
  • Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience on a fork truck
