About The Position

This position will be responsible for all set up and operation of machines in designated department. The Bander Operator will secure proper cover sheets, tie sheets, and load tags for production runs. They will set-up bundler, hold down arm, load former, and delivery end of machine accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques. The operator will stack finished product in accordance with factory master, ensure each unit has proper top and bottom cover sheets, tie sheets, and load tags, and ensure correct materials are used to meet customer specifications. They will monitor quality and report quality problems to the Operator, ensure correct bundle and unit counts, and report the final count of piece unit to the operator. The role also involves completing necessary reports accurately and timely, turning in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs, and being proactive in the maintenance of equipment. The employee must meet all company safety policies and report any concerns related to required maintenance of machines. Special projects may be assigned as business dictates. Duties may be expanded upon and additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Knowledge of design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions including reading a tape measure, and blueprints.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Team-oriented and self-directed.

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing experience in the corrugated industry preferred.
