About The Position

Operates the commercial band saw safely and efficiently while following all established operating and safety procedures. Accurately counts and positions products to ensure precise and consistent cuts. Ensures accurate cut thickness by applying knowledge of product specifications and established quality standards. Accurately positions finished products on the takeaway belt to ensure proper cleansing through the bone wash process. Operates equipment at recommended speeds and monitors products to ensure compliance with established quality standards and efficiency targets. Monitors equipment performance and makes appropriate adjustments to maintain production requirements. Operates and cleans equipment to optimize throughput and minimize production downtime. Promptly communicates mechanical, equipment, or operational issues to the appropriate team member or management. Maintains process and equipment performance data to support quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.

Uses required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Operates the band saw, machinery, and other equipment safely and in accordance with established procedures.
Immediately reports hazards, near misses, injuries, and accidents.
Actively participates in required safety training and drills.
Maintains clean and organized work areas to help prevent accidents and injuries.
Contributes to the continuous improvement of safety procedures and protocols.
Maintains awareness of surroundings to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
Monitors products throughout the production process to ensure compliance with established quality specifications.
Maintains accuracy and consistency when cutting and positioning products.
Identifies quality or process concerns and communicates them promptly to the appropriate individuals.
Maintains applicable process and equipment performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives designed to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and throughput.
