WS - Band Music Library Technician - FWS
About The Position
This position is responsible for the ongoing organization and cataloging of a print and digital music library. The technician will maintain an online database of music, method books, textbooks, and other items. Key duties include pulling, checking for parts, distributing, copying, and organizing music for ensemble rehearsals, as well as fulfilling missing-part requests and collecting/refiling music after performances. The role also involves notifying the director of any issues with music pieces and working to improve the accuracy of the music library through the Band Library Audit & Preservation Initiative. Additionally, the technician may be required to transcribe missing parts for POP literature.
