About The Position
This is a yearly stipend position at Long Branch High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The Band Assistant - Percussion will support the Band Director in preparing, instructing, and guiding students in percussion. This role is crucial for both the instructional program and extracurricular activities, aiming to ensure successful Marching Band performances.
Requirements
- Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate
- Such alternatives to the above qualification as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
Responsibilities
- Assist with rehearsals, parades, and competitions.
- Provide small group or sectional instruction to strengthen student performance in the area of percussion.
- Support the Director in organizing music, instruments, and equipment.
- Help supervise students at rehearsals, performances, and trips.
