Ballroom Dance instructor
About The Position
As a Dance Instructor, you will teach private and group dance lessons to students of different ages and skill levels. You will help students achieve their personal goals, including social dancing, wedding preparation, fitness, performances, and competitions. You will create a welcoming, positive, and encouraging experience for every student. You will participate in studio activities, including practice parties, showcases, community events, and competitions. You will build strong professional relationships with students and support their continued progress. You will continue developing your dance, teaching, customer service, and business skills through ongoing professional training. This is an active, people-focused position in a fun and supportive environment. Both full-time and part-time opportunities may be available.
Requirements
- Be enthusiastic, dependable, self-motivated, and passionate about dance.
- Have excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Enjoy working with people of different ages, backgrounds, and experience levels.
- Be positive, friendly, professional, and team-oriented.
- Be willing to receive coaching, feedback, and ongoing training.
- Take responsibility for personal performance and professional development.
- Maintain the physical fitness and stamina needed for an active teaching position.
- Be available for some evening and weekend studio events.
- Have reliable transportation to our Framingham studio.
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Previous dance or teaching experience is preferred but not required.
- Candidates with backgrounds in ballroom dance, ballet, jazz, contemporary dance, theater, athletics, hospitality, sales, or customer service are encouraged to apply.
