Baler (Warehouse)
About The Position
The Baler is responsible for ensuring production operations are kept clean and safe, and that all waste is collected and baled for disposal/recycling. Safety is vital to this position, both from a standpoint of keeping the production floor clear of hazards and using baling machines in a safe and appropriate manner. This role involves walking the production floor to collect paper waste and remove hazardous materials, operating baling machines to process waste paper for disposal/recycling, and maintaining clear and safe areas around machines and walkways. Additionally, the Baler is responsible for sweeping and organizing the work area around baling machines and ensuring waste carts are stored properly, while working safely at all times.
Requirements
- Knowledge of safe manufacturing practices.

Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous manufacturing or distribution experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Walks production floor and collects paper waste / removes all materials that may pose a hazard to other employees.
- Uses baling machines to bales all waste paper and stage bales for disposal / recycling.
- Ensures areas around machines and walkways are kept clear of obstructions and are safe.
- Sweep and organize the work area around the baling machines and ensure waste carts are stored properly.
- Work safely at all times.
