The Baler is responsible for ensuring our production operations are kept clean and safe and that all waste is collected and baled for disposal/recycling. Safety is vital to this position both from a standpoint of keeping our production floor clear of hazards, and using baling machines in a safe and appropriate manner.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of safe manufacturing practices.
  • Ability to be thorough and efficient.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work safely.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or distribution experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Walks production floor and collects paper waste / removes all materials that may pose a hazard to other employees.
  • Uses baling machines to bales all waste paper and stage bales for disposal / recycling.
  • Ensures areas around machines and walkways are kept clear of obstructions and are safe.
  • Sweep and organize the work area around the baling machines and ensure waste carts are stored properly.
  • Work safely at all times.
