About The Position

Jordan's Furniture is seeking a team player to work independently in its busy QC and Returns departments. The position is located in Taunton, Massachusetts, and works Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Pay is $18.00 per hour, with a $2.00 shift differential. The role handles trash, recycling, returned merchandise, and related warehouse operations. The operator transfers and sorts materials, operates equipment, loads and unloads trailers, and helps keep the distribution center clean while following company and OSHA safety standards. Requirements

0–6 months of related experience or equivalent education/experience.
Ability to safely lift and move materials up to 110 lbs. independently.
Must be certified through the company Crown Lift Training Program to safely operate forklift and pallet jack equipment.
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

Transfer trash and recyclable material to the compactor/baler area and maintain a clean work area.
Separate recyclable material from trash.
Operate machinery used to handle trash or recycled material.
Load and unload junk bedding, Shuttle, Receiving, and Recycling trailers.
Handle, repackage, and move returned merchandise.
Sort, transport, and process recycling material, and dispose of trash generated by the department's daily operations.
Help maintain the distribution center's cleanliness by keeping the floor clear of recycling debris.
Use and maintain tools and equipment in accordance with company and OSHA safety standards.
Perform other functions or responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.
