Requirements

Has a high school diploma or GED.
Has basic math skills and can accurately record weights and production information.
Can read and follow written work instructions and safety procedures.
Has mechanical aptitude and enjoys working with equipment.
Is dependable, safety-focused, and takes pride in quality work.
Works well with others and has a positive attitude.
Is willing to learn and grow in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience operating baling or recycling equipment.
Forklift experience or certification.
Experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

Operating recycling equipment that shreds, compresses, and bales paper by-products from the printing process.
Threading and securing tie bands around completed bales.
Removing finished bales from the baler and transporting them to storage using pallet jacks, hoist trucks, or forklifts.
Weighing bales and maintaining accurate records of weights and material grades.
Performing daily forklift inspections and completing equipment checklists.
Performing routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor maintenance on baling equipment.
Clearing paper obstructions from the cyclone system when needed.
Assisting with loading bales for shipment and completing shipping documentation as needed.
Photographing containers and seals for shipment verification when required.
Following safe work practices while working with a supportive team.
