About The Position

The Baler ITO maintains and operates forklifts to move products, equipment, and materials throughout the warehouse and into or out of trucks. The role also operates an automated baler system and handles scrap or spoilage at the baler. It includes inspecting incoming product, performing warehouse housekeeping, and completing other assigned duties.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Detail oriented.
Familiarity with personal protective equipment.
Prior experience in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
Willingness and ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and night shifts.

Responsibilities

Drive an industrial truck with a lifting device to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, and move products, equipment, or materials in the warehouse and in and out of trucks.
Position forks, platforms, or other lifting devices around loads; transport loads to designated areas.
Unload and stack materials by raising and lowering the lifting device.
Inventory materials on the work floor and supply materials to workers as needed.
Weigh materials or products and record weights in a computer system, tags, labels, or production schedules.
Load and unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
Lubricate the truck, recharge batteries, or replace liquefied gas tanks as needed.
Unload and restack cardboard onto other pallets, which may include top frames.
Perform warehouse housekeeping using a broom and, occasionally, a spider web duster.
Inspect chocks under trailer wheels, inspect chipboard, and sort it.
Operate the automated baler system.
Handle and dump scrap or spoilage at the baler.
Immediately communicate issues with incoming product and follow up.
Perform other duties as assigned.
