About The Position

Aspire Bakeries is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain the reliability and performance of production and facility equipment at its bakery. The role includes installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime, support operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards.

The position is on the second shift, from 12:45 PM to 9:15 PM, with weekend availability required. The hourly rate is $29.00–$32.00.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in general maintenance or related maintenance responsibilities.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to identify equipment failures, malfunctions, and maintenance needs.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools and perform basic repair work.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, or climb for extended periods.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety.

Nice To Haves

• Formal training in mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic welding experience.
• Experience working with food manufacturing or food processing equipment.
• Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, food safety, and quality system requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment to support operational reliability.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.
• Set up, start up, and shut down manufacturing and packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor equipment condition and communicate maintenance, safety, and operational concerns.
• Support compliance with food safety, quality, GMP, HACCP, allergen, and food defense requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and operational documentation.
• Promote a safe work environment by following safety procedures, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards.
