About The Position

Team Leaders supervise, guide, and motivate team members to deliver excellent customer service and the highest quality products. Team Leaders aid management in hiring and training new team members, updating management on team member performance, and act as a liaison between team members and upper management.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
At least one year experience with product knowledge
On occasion, safely operate bakery ovens, mixers, and all other equipment used in the day-to-day operation of the bakery department
Base knowledge of all areas of the bakery: cakes, breads, bagels, donuts, rice cakes
Great customer service skills
Good computer skills and a basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, the HRIS and Great Plains (purchase order/transfer system)
Good organizational skills
The ability to delegate tasks and communicate directions clearly
The ability to multi-task
Must be at least 18 years and older

Responsibilities

Answers team member questions, helps with team member problems, and oversees team member work for quality and guideline compliance
Provides encouragement to team members, including communicating deadlines and goals
Assists management with hiring process and new team member training
Ensure production estimates are met and displays are full and merchandised, with appropriate signage
Provides quality customer service, including interacting with customers, answering customer inquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints
Participate in monthly, quarterly, and yearly department inventories
Other projects, as needed
