About The Position

Responsible for baking, finishing and decorating ingredients according to recipes to produce breads, rolls, cookies, cakes, pies, pastries, or other baked goods.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow recipes and adjust.
  • Pastry and baking experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and use organizational skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Baking, finishing, and decorating ingredients according to recipes.
  • Applying glazes, icings, or other toppings to baked goods.
  • Decorating cakes and bakery items according to recipes and special customer requests.
  • Measuring and weighing ingredients to prepare batters, dough, fillings, and icings.
  • Combining measured ingredients in mixing, blending, or cooking machinery.
  • Rolling, kneading, cutting, and shaping dough.
  • Placing dough in pans, molds, or on sheets, and baking in production ovens or on grills.
  • Setting oven temperatures and monitoring baking process.
  • Ordering products and checking quality of materials.
  • Maintaining proper inventory of finished piece goods.
  • Checking equipment for health and safety regulations and performing maintenance and cleaning.
  • Completing special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Upholding the 7 guiding principles of the company.
  • Supporting goals and vision of Store Director.
  • Presenting a professional personal image and upholding the company’s uniform policy.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized working and shopping environment.
  • Complying with all regulatory rules and regulations including HACCP, OSHA, Dept. of Labor, Weights and Measures and local food and sanitation laws.
  • Timely and consistent attendance.
