About The Position

Mixes ingredients for the bakery's product line according to the production list, ensuring the line's pace is set and maintained to meet production quotas. The role is responsible for maintaining product quality on the production line and preparing ingredients for the next day's scheduled product runs. This position also involves maintaining the cleanliness of the workstation during production, ensuring formula sheets are completed and temperatures are recorded, and reporting any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor in a timely manner. Additionally, the Bakery Mixer cleans and sterilizes equipment at the end of each day, unloads products and ingredients into refrigeration or freezer units, and sorts and organizes products in storage areas. The role may also require performing other job-related duties and special projects as needed, and reporting to work on time when scheduled.

Requirements

  • Ability to solve practical problems with a variety of variables and limited standardization, and be able to interpret instructions.
  • Ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • Possess the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies orally or in writing.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience from on-the-job training.
  • Ability to exert in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally; exert in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently; exert in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Visual requirement include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without corrective, depth perception, color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), and field of vision.
  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, felling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
  • Exposure to noise, equipment movement hazards from production lines and pallet jacks, temperature extremes, dangerous chemical/solvents, and electrical shock.
  • Has daily contact with employees.
  • Occasional contact with customers, and suppliers/vendors.
  • Has access to sales results, monthly results, and quarterly inventory results.
  • Successful completion of a pre employment drug screen.

  • Experience with mixers, scales, oven, pallet jack, fork lift, and other production equipment.
