About The Position

The Bakery Manager is responsible for leading all bakery department operations to achieve sales, profitability, quality, and customer satisfaction goals. This role oversees production planning, merchandising, food safety, team development, and operational standards while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop bakery associates to deliver high‑quality products and exceptional customer service
  • Create schedules to meet business needs while maintaining labor standards
  • Train team members on production standards, food safety, and customer engagement
  • Perform performance management activities, including coaching, feedback, and corrective action
  • Oversee daily production, decorating, baking, and packaging to ensure freshness and quality standards
  • Ensure accurate forecasting, ordering, and inventory management
  • Maintain department cleanliness, organization, and equipment standards
  • Execute company programs, promotions, and merchandising standards
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
  • Maintain proper labeling, rotation, temperature logs, and documentation
  • Conduct department audits and address deficiencies promptly
  • Ensure all associates are trained on food handling and safety procedures
  • Drive sales through product assortment, presentation, and seasonal execution
  • Manage shrink, waste, and markdowns in alignment with company expectations
  • Analyze sales and production data to adjust labor and product mix accordingly
  • Control department expenses and contribute to overall store financial performance
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve escalated customer concerns
  • Ensure product availability, quality, and visual appeal meet customer expectations
  • Build customer loyalty through engagement and consistent execution
